We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Educator (m/f/d) to join our Bilingual Primary School at the Heidelberg Private School Centre - ideally on a full time basis.

The Heidelberg Private School Centre (HPC), operated by F+U Rhein-Main-Neckar gGmbH, provides a wide range of closely integrated educational pathways, from primary education through to the Abitur (German university entrance qualification). Across our two bilingual and international primary schools, we currently support around 200 students aged 5 to 10 years.

To strengthen our dedicated team, we are looking for someone who is eager to play an active role in shaping everyday school life and making a meaningful contribution to the social and educational development of our students. If you are passionate about working with children and helping to foster a positive and supportive school community, we would love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Taking on the role of a class mentor and supporting the social and personal development of assigned classes
  • Planning and delivering social skills training and prevention programmes
  • Providing guidance and support to individual students as well as whole classes
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and external partner organisations
  • Actively contributing to and strengthening our school community in line with the principles of school social work

Your Profile:

  • You hold a qualification in education, pedagogy, social work, or a related field, or you are currently pursuing relevant vocational training or a degree
  • Ideally, you have already gained experience working with primary school-aged children.
  • You are enthusiastic about supporting and caring for children aged 5 to 10 years
  • You are reliable, punctual, responsible, and adaptable to new situations and challenges.
  • You are empathetic and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You have excellent English language skills, ideally at native-speaker level or C1 proficiency
